Who we are
The Participatory Group is a working group where local and regional governments share experiences and knowledge to improve their participatory processes. The Technical Secretariat of the group is managed by the Municipality of Madrid and is responsible for the personal data gathered in this website. It’s located in Calle Montalbán 1, Madrid, SPAIN. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
If you send a message from a contact form, we’ll keep your email address and data to be able to answer your message. If your contact information is professional, we might keep it in our records to send you information about our activities.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We don’t use any external analytics service that register your activity in the web site. If we implement a local analytics service, all the data registered will be anonymised and won’t be share with other analytics services.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For users that use the contact or register form, we store the contact information they provide to answer their message, and if the person is a representative of a city or region using their professional contact information we might keep that information to send updates about the activities of The Participatory Group.
What rights you have over your data
Personal data will be added and handled by the Municipality of Madrid in accordance to the following description of the file:
- Name of file/process: GESTIÓN DE PROCESOS PARTICIPATIVOS
- Purpose of the file/process: To manage participative processes to validate the persons taking part in them and a numerical recount and statistics of the results of the citizen participation processes.
- Legitimacy of the process: The legal basis for the processing of data is the context of article 9.2 of Spanish Constitutiont, article 69 of the Ley de Bases de Régimen Local and the Reglamento Orgánico de Participación Ciudadana of the Municipality of Madrid, that stablish the need to contribute to develop a culture for citizen participation that widens the vision and the intervention of the citizens so they can strengthen its power in the democratic system.
